Northumbria Basketry Group

The Northumbria Basketry Group will be located in Venue 5 - Cheviot View

The group’s aim is to promote, encourage and develop all aspects of basketmaking. Several ‘self-help’ groups now meet regularly across the region to make baskets in all forms.

Northumbria Basketry Group was established in 2007 to promote and enable the study and practice of all aspects of basketmaking, chair seating and allied crafts in the Northumbria region. In order to do this we run a range of courses, workshops and other activities for everyone from beginners to those with considerably more experience.
