Roslyn Whiting Leathercraft

Quality leather goods made using traditional methods, with a creative twist.

I first got the chance to try leatherwork when I was 13 years old at a youth camp, and I have loved it ever since.  I started with hand-tooling designs onto leather, as this is a very creative side to leatherwork, it has influenced me to add a creative twist to my products.

I want you to enjoy using my products for years, so I use only top quality British tanned leather and British made fittings.  I use vegetable tanned leather, which is gentle on the environment and develops a beautiful patina the more you use it.

My leathers goods are all made by hand from hand cutting the leather pieces, to hand-stitching to add extra strength through to burnishing the edges to give my products a nice edge.

Everything is designed and made by myself in my workshop in Melrose, in the heart of the Scottish Borders.  Inspiration is taken from my beautiful surrounding countryside for my designs.
