Anne White
As well as paining landmarks of the beautiful Scottish Borders, Anne just loves painting seascapes where she uses different mediums and brush strokes to create textures to bring out the mood and the atmosphere of the moment.
I paint in Acrylic, Oil and watercolour on location, from photographs I have taken or from sketches I have made on the day. My seascapes of our diverse Scottish coastline are in the main painted on canvas where I use a variety of brush strokes and techniques to create textures to bring out the mood and atmosphere of the moment.
I just love the waves crashing against the rocks and when the sea meets the sand on our stunning beaches. I have a slightly abstract approach mostly in water colour when painting landscapes of the Scottish Borders to bring out the vibrant colours and contours of the rolling hills. My aim is to share what I see in that exact moment, for you to get lost in my art as if you are actually there. When travelling , I enjoy taking in the culture, the music and the Scottish cuisine.
As well as exhibiting, you can find my work in a number of shops/galleries in a variety of shops in Scotland.
