Jennifer Barr Jewellery is inspired by nature and the nostalgia of travels around the world. Every piece is conscientiously designed and responsibly handmade in the Scottish Borders.

The inspiration for my jewellery comes from the natural beauty and colours of the Scottish Borders. I create Modern and Classic pieces that reflect our cultural attitudes to life and ways of working. Pieces are individual, made of precious and semi-precious stones and gold and silver metals. Each stone tells a story, all having a spiritual and healing properties.  

There is something deeply personal about jewellery. Each piece has a life and often a story. I create instinctively rather than contriving designs beforehand. Whether it is the romance of a Rose Quartz, the strength of an Aquamarine or the Pearl, a symbol of purity, longevity and wisdom, my belief is the piece will be treasured and admired. I thoroughly enjoy the labour of hand tool processes and the combinations of precious and semi-precious materials

It has always been important to me that my customers enjoy wearing my jewellery and they bring joy to the wearer and admiration from others.
