Drawing on my deep connection to The Isle of Harris I create ceramics using my unique pallet of glazes.

Growing up in East Anglia there was such a contrast when we travelled north to spent all our long summer holidays with my grandparents on the Isle of Harris. This wild and beautiful island with its unique culture has a huge impact on me. Inspired by the ever changing light, coastline and memories I use the wheel to throw forms to then dip, brush, sponge on layers of glazes which I have formulated and tested over many years. I enjoy making functional pots as well as more decorative and sculptural pieces all drawing on inspiration from the colours and textures of the island and coastline.

I live in Stow in the beautiful Scottish Borders and work from a studio in my garden.
