I repurpose textiles all of which I print and dye to create exclusive designs featuring my trademark fine hand embroidery.
Sustainability is at the heart of my practice. I print and dye all my own fabrics with the focus of my work being to repurpose redundant household textiles by using traditional craft methods. I particularly enjoy the serendipity of natural dyes and eco printing, which is great fun, and use local materials whenever possible. All the designs are exclusive, designed by myself and hand embroidered. I am constantly working on new designs, products and techniques so there is always something new to see.
Since childhood I have always enjoyed the creative arts, especially anything to do with textiles. I have long loved hand embroidery so, when I stopped working, I took the opportunity to study it at The Royal School of Needlework where I attained my BA (hons) Degree. During this time I had the great privilege to be part of the team to embroider the wedding dress for the Princess of Wales. Since then I have gone on to study the various printing and dying methods I now use and so enjoy.
