Laura Brittain

Laura will be located in Venue 1 - Ancrum Bowling Club

Working with a palette of vibrantly coloured fibres including wool, silk and alpaca, I design and make felt bags, rugs, felt cushions, beads and baby bootees which are bold and exciting

Using one of the oldest methods for forming fabric I hand felt wool to make baby bootees which are both beautiful and practical.

Combining exciting colours and textures I also design and produce a range of felt bags and purses and vibrantly coloured cushions which are wonderfully soft to the touch. In addition to this, I also create bespoke lampshades plus mats and rugs to adorn either floors or walls.

I am passionate about felt making and as an experienced teacher run workshops for learners of all ages. I also design and produce a range of felt bags and purses
