Rachel & Georgia Collins

Harestanes Glass Studio

Unique art glass gifts for the home and garden, handcrafted at our studio based at Harestanes, in the Scottish Borders.

As a Mother and Daughter team we create a unique range of contemporary gifts and homeware in both contemporary kiln-formed glass fusing and traditional leaded & tiffany style stained glass, as well as a range of dichroic glass and sterling silver jewellery.

Our work is inspired by nature: often taking inspiration from our surroundings - the rural landscapes of the Scottish Borders, as well as the beautiful coastlines of North Northumberland.

Rachel works in contemporary glass fusing, using kilns to fire glass to high temperatures and ceramic moulds to form shapes such as bowls, dishes, platters etc. She creates beautiful decorative homeware and gifts, from mirrors to bowls, wall art and window hangings. As well as using colour changing dichroic glass to create tailored glass jewellery, finished on sterling silver.

Georgia typically works in stained glass, both traditional leadwork as well as tiffany-style copper foiling to create panels, window and wall art, suncatchers, decorative gifts, stained glass flowers and art for the garden. She also accepts commissioned work for architectural glass such as door panels, windows, cabinets, and transom windows above doors.

Their studio where they have a gift showroom and offer classes & workshops is based at Harestanes, just across the A68 road from Ancrum, visitors are welcome.
