Andrew is a ceramic artist producing sculpture work in white stoneware and porcelain from his garden studio in the Scottish Borders .

I work from my studio studio with a outlook into the garden and on through to the countryside of fields and farmsteads.

Taking inspiration from the surrounding landscape and coastline my ceramics are hand built in white stoneware or porcelain.

They take on a rather quirky and playful quality.

My ceramic work is typically twice fired in a electric kiln,first bisque fired and then returned to the kiln for the glaze firing.

There can be a third firing when a lustre metallic glaze is applied to the glazed surface, this can emerge as a gold or mother of pearl finish on the work.
