Brandon Beck

BeckFab

Brandon will be located in Venue 7 - 20 West Myrescroft

Brandon makes all his work from scratch, from small items for inside the home to large sculptures for out in the garden.

I have always had a passion for welding and it was a hobby of mine from a young age. My grandad and uncle were a big inspiration for me as they owned their own welding fabrication workshop in Jedburgh.

In early 2022 after working in a fabrication shop for many years I decided to turn my hobby into a business and share my work with others and created Beckfab. When I’m in the workshop I enjoy making sculptures from scratch using my forge and shaping metal over the anvil to create my final pieces. Some of my previous work includes 3D sculptures made from washers,  traditionally forged items, garden sculptures and things for inside the home like coffee tables and log holders. I specialise in commission work and like to work with clients to create something to their specifications.

I use recyclable materials and often use items such as horseshoes from local farriers to create my work. Where possible I seek to buy my materials locally.

I take my inspiration for my work from many things including nature and wildlife around us in the Scottish Borders.

After a very successful weekend last year I’m looking forward to exhibit my work again this year at Art@Ancrum.

You can find out more about Beck Fabrication on his instagram and facebook.
